21. Scott’s Tots (Season 6, Episode 12)
“I’ve made some empty promises in my life, but hands down, that was the most generous.”
Michael need to be liked, and his baseless belief in himself is clearly responsible for the mess of this episode. Michael’s promise to a group of third graders to pay for their college tuition — a promise that he never intended to keep — is the worst thing the character ever did (and that is saying something). What’s beautiful about “Scott’s Tots” is just how long it drags out the celebration before Michael’s confession to the now-high school seniors. Yikes.
