Counting Down HBO’s 25 Best Television Series Of All-Time

1. The Sopranos (1999-2007)

A winner of 21 Emmy Awards, The Sopranos was must-see TV during the early 2000s, and rightfully so. The complexity of David Chase’s characters, led by mob-boss-family man Tony Soprano are so well developed that they’re actually pretty relatable to viewers. The show made the late James Gandolfini a star, while Edie Falco’s portrayal of Tony’s wife Carmela should be regarded as one of the best female characters in all of dramatic television.
