If you don’t remember the name Illyrio Mopatis, you are not alone. You may remember him as the man who brought Daenerys Targaryen and Khal Drogo together. Working alongside Varys, Mopatis united the two powerful individuals and fast-tracked their marriage. If that wasn’t impactful enough, Mopatis also gifted Dany the three dragon eggs at the wedding ceremony. For some reason, that was the last time we ever saw Mopatis. Despite being a steady presence in the novels, Mopatis was basically erased from the Thrones universe after two episodes.
