20. Descendants
When the hardcore punk scene broke in Southern California in the late 1970s, the Descendents were right in the middle. The band was also a major player on what would become the ‘skate punk’ scene of the early 1980s – forming its own culture that included clothing and hairstyles. Blink-182 and Dave Grohl have cited Descendents among their musical and lifestyle influences.
