After a strong high school career, Walters attended Sarah Lawrence College in Yonkers, New York. She graduated from the university with a degree in English. Armed with a solid grasp of the written word, Walters set out to use her skill-set. After briefly working with an advertising agency, Walters found a new passion — one which she’d enjoy for over 60 years.
