O’Reilly attended Marist College in New York ? primarily because he wanted to play college football. He figured he could walk onto the club team and participate athletically on a relatively high level. O’Reilly ended up becoming the team’s punter/placekicker. While O’Reilly had a fondness for sports, his primary interest sat elsewhere.
