O’Reilly was quite energetic when verbally sparring with guests. The verbal barbs had a likelihood to come out during any exchange in which the issue had opposing viewpoints. Fellow political pundits, celebrities, and writers often appeared on his program. While O’Reilly’s explosive temper had a tendency to pop up on screen, it proved to be an opportunity for mainstream comedians to take advantage of these moments for their own material.
