At the time, news channel Fox News was just starting to get its proverbial feet off the ground. Looking for a rising star in the business, Fox turned to O’Reilly. He was given considerable creative control in a show focused around the daily news cycle, interviews with guests, and commentary on politics. This is where ‘The O’Reilly Factor’ was born.
