4. Stress Relief (Season 5, Episodes 15-16)

“I knew exactly what to do. But in a much more real sense, I had no idea what to do.”
The Office had a unique brand of humor — one that relied on quick jokes as much as awkward pauses and drawn out camera panning. When it did employ physical humor (like in the two-part “Stress Relief” episode), it didn’t disappoint. While my loyalties still lie with Kevin’s chili fiasco, “Stress Relief” truly does contain the greatest Office cold open of all time. The audience sees a chaotic fire drill (thanks to an actual fire, started by Dwight) that ends with Angela throwing her emergency office cat through the ceiling, and Stanley suffering a heart attack.
