After several years of working for smaller productions, King finally caught his big break when he was hired to host Larry King Live on CNN in 1985. The show swept the nation like a hurricane. While originally focusing on a broad range of topics, King eventually settled as an interview-based show. He boasted some of the most famous guests of any television program in history.
