How King Became ‘King’ of Television

By the luck of the draw, King was put into contact with a CBS staff announcer who had strong ties within the industry. From the staff announcer?s advice, King moved to Miami – a city that was blossoming as a media market at the time. It?s in Miami where King earned his first job as a manager at a radio station called WAHR – the beginnings of King’s illustrious broadcasting career.
