While Curb certainly is in the running, Veep is arguably HBO’s best comedy. Think Elaine Benes minus the network censors. That’s how Julia Louis-Dreyfus portrays power-obsessed, foul-mouthed and dysfunctional politician Selina Meyer. But for as good as Louis-Dreyfus was during the show?s seven-season run, her supporting cast — particularly Anna Chlumsky, Timothy Simons, Kevin Dunn, Gary Cole, Tony Hale and Reid Scott — came together to deliver high quality, and often inappropriate, humor on a weekly basis.
