For many years, the world believed Rhaegar Targaryen kidnapped Lyanna Stark. However, as we later found out in the waning moments of Season 7, Rhaegar and Lyanna were actually in love and secretly wed. Their son, the man we knew as Jon Snow, had a different name — Aegon Targaryen. In George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire, Jon isn’t the only Aegon roaming Westeros. Rhaegar had another son and named him Aegon VI. Although Aegon VI didn’t appear on Thrones, many die-hard fans remain curious as to why Rhaegar named two of his sons Aegon.
