Before Jon?
There was Daario Naharis. Long before Dany and Jon became a powerful (short-lived) couple, Daario was the man who had Dany’s heart. When the Queen of the Ashes decided it was time to move on from Meereen, she left Daario behind to control the territory. Somehow, once Dany leaves Meereen we never see Daario again. There is no discussion centered around Daario or the happenings in Meereen — leaving us to wonder how Daario would react to Dany’s death.
