Mysterious Beasts
From the opening moments of Game of Thrones, it was established that mythical animals would be rather important. Famously, Ned Stark and his children stumble upon six baby direwolves near their home. Despite the mention of direwolves rarely showing up south of the Wall, there isn’t much of an explanation on how they made their way near Winterfell. And then there is the mystery surrounding Daenerys’ dragon eggs. Dany is gifted three eggs at her wedding, but where did they come from? How did Illyrio Mopatis possess the eggs before giving them to Dany? We may never know.
