Seau finished high school as one of the most coveted football prospects in the country. Many schools battled for his services, but there was never a serious question which school he would attend – the University of Southern California. Not only was USC seen as an elite program, but it was extremely popular in Seau’s hometown of Oceanside. Unfortunately, Seau’s college career was delayed when he failed to qualify academically. His score of 690 on the SAT fell just 10 points short of USC’s required score of 700.
