Junior Seau: From Triumph To Tragedy

Whether he was playing football, basketball or track and field, it was clear that Seau was a gifted athlete. So much so, in fact, that his parents never forced Seau to work while he was in high school. His parents weren’t the only people envisioning a successful future for Junior. Seau was routinely named San Diego’s Player of the Week for his exploits in all three sports. In addition to excelling on the field, Seau’s success paid dividends in other aspects of life. Namely, he was able to avoid being involved with gangs around Oceanside.
