Furthering everyone’s concern for his state of mind, Seau ended his retirement after one day and chose to continue his NFL career with the New England Patriots. Seau would spend the next four years with the Patriots – including the team’s memorable 2008 season in which they entered the Super Bowl undefeated, only to lose to the New York Giants. Seau’s last chance at claiming a ring had fallen short.
