Shortly after Gina filed for divorce in 2002, Seau was dealt another crushing blow. After playing 13 seasons for his hometown Chargers, the franchise traded Seau to the Miami Dolphins before the 2003 season. Three injury-riddled seasons later, the Dolphins cut Junior. On August 14, 2006, Seau held a press conference in San Diego to announce his retirement. What followed was a rambling, incoherent speech from the disheartened legend.
