Junior wasted no time becoming not only the face of the organization, but one of the most recognizable players in the NFL. Nicknamed the ‘Tasmanian Devil,’ Seau burst onto the scene in a fashion similar to his dominant junior year at USC. His desire to be great was not lost on his teammates. Seau’s legendary work ethic captured the attention of his peers and he quickly became one of the team’s leaders. Appearing in all 16 games as a rookie, Seau notched 85 tackles and was named a Pro Bowl alternate.
