Cash’s powerful voice and smooth delivery helped make him one of the most prominent musical stars in American history. His versatility within music was exceptional. He could compose a serious ballad such as ‘Ring of Fire,’ and seamlessly pivot towards a more humorous number such as a ‘Boy Named Sue.’ During the latter part of his career, Cash even lent his silky smooth vocals to rock bands – featuring on Nine Inch Nails’ ‘Hurt’ and Soundgarden’s ‘Rusty Cage.’ A truly legendary artist, we’ll be hearing Cash’s plethora of top hits for years to come.
