21. Janet Weiss (Sleater-Kinney)
Known for her musical intelligence and timely, power playing, Weiss made a name for herself with indie rockers Sleater-Kinney in the 1990s. Her greatness is displayed on two of the band’s bigger hits, “Dig Me Out” and “Turn It On.” She also shines on “Romance,” a song from side project Wild Flag, which included Sleater-Kinney bandmate Carrie Brownstein.
