8. Blondie
Led by Debbie Harry, Blondie also sat in the realm of pop rock. The band should be lauded for its ability to be experimental. Blondie wasn’t afraid to explore a sound emanating from a number of different arenas. As such, it resulted in Blondie selling more than 40 million records globally. “Heart of Glass” represented the general transition in music from the end of the ’70s to the more atypical feel of the 1980’s.
