14. Eurythmics
Capitalizing upon the trendy synth-pop from the ’80s in England, the Eurythmics were highly important to the growth of the genre. Annie Lennox had a bravado few matched on stage. She was unapologetic and all the while passionate when performing. Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)turned the band into a known commodity across the world. As a group, the Eurythmics have sold 75 million records.
