With Lemmy, it was always more about the man than the musician. One of the true characters in all of heavy metal, or music for that matter, Ian Fraser Kilmister was the driving force behind metal gods Motorhead. And while his image made him a star, his bass playing was nothing to shove off. He infused high-powered distortion to his bass and had just as many amps on stage as a lead guitarist.
