Getting Foot in the Door
For the next seven years, Elton’s experience consisted of gigs at local pubs, forming a band (called Bluesology), and also singing backup for a number of notable musicians (such as Patti LaBelle and the Isley Brothers). At that point, Elton met someone who’d change his life forever. His name was Bernie Taupin.
