A Teenager Named Ryan White
Elton befriended a teenager (Ryan White) who had contracted AIDS through a blood transfusion. Elton supported the teenager’s family, was at White’s side as he passed, and even performed at his funeral. While still dealing with his own addictions, Elton knew that he had to change.
