If we know one thing about the Chili Peppers, it’s that they love to sing about the state they call home. The return of guitarist John Frusciante reunites a lineup that arguably is the best in the history of the band. “Scar Tissue” is a melodic success and earned Grammy love, but “Otherside” and “Californication” are the true hits of an album that’s not only the group’s most commercially successful one, but most diverse and complete.
