While pop, R&B, Madonna, rap and rap-metal were captivating the nation, the best record with the most overall rock feel belongs to Shirley Manson and Co. The group’s second effort was a bit darker and more melodic than its self-titled debut from three years earlier. “I Think I?m Paranoid” and “Special” stand out as the album’s highlights.
