10. Game Night
As mentioned earlier, comedies have taken a lot of hits in recent years, with few laughers really catching a strong audience. Game Night, starring Jason Bateman and Rachel McAdams alongside a stellar supporting cast, couldn’t seem to get the ticket sales it deserved. In addition to reminding us how much we’ve missed seeing Rachel McAdams in a big screen comedy, it also gave us a scene-stealing turn from Breaking Bad’s Jesse Plemons. It’s too bad so many people didn’t catch it before, because Game Night really is a fantastic, high-concept comedy that fulfills on its premise of a couples’ game night-gone-wrong to hilarious extremes.
