14. Teen Titans Go! To the Movies
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse won a well-deserved Oscar that people were worried wouldn’t happen as animation is typically a category Pixar/Disney reign over with ease. There was, however, another animated film that surprised people in 2018: Teen Titans Go! To the Movies. The film takes place in the middle of the fifth season of the series of the same name. The film was a massive hit over the summer, and while it received some awards attention, it was never in the conversation for a shot at the Academy statue. The film was praised for parodying comic book adaptation saturation on the big screen.
