11. Love, Simon
Love, Simon received a lot of press attention for being the first film by a major Hollywood studio to focus on a gay teen romance, but that attention did not translate at the box office or awards nominations (even though it certainly deserved some). From a relatable plot played out with an incredibly talented cast of young actors, to a script that is smart, charming, funny, and heartfelt, this film could be your next favorite if you make some time to watch it. There are definitely plenty of big laughs in this one, but don’t be fooled, you will definitely go through at least one box of tissues as well.
